Scuba Diving at Beqa Lagoon in Fiji

Posted by: sddiver96

sddiver96

Scuba Diving at the Beqa Lagoon in Fiji is paradise itself. The heart of the unspoiled South Pacific is about as far removed from the hustle and bustle of American or European toil as you could imagine. Scuba diving in Fiji should be on everyone's bucket list as this truly is the ultimate in paradise on earth.
The Beqa Lagoon is perhaps among the best dive resorts in Fiji, if not the world. There are many dive centers in Fiji and the Beqa Lagoon is certainly the premier dive center location in the world. Here, you will bask under warm southern hemispherical skies with temperatures ranging from 25c to 32c and waters around 24c in summer, during winter the daytime highs are around 18c to 24c and water temperatures drop to around 19c.

But scuba diving the Beqa Lagoon in Fiji is all about the views you will see. The resort was once known as the Marlin Bay Resort and its views are similar to diving underneath a tropical marine aquarium. The spray of colors visible under the crystal clear, turquoise waters are like being miniaturized and sent into your home aquarium while you dive.
The scuba diving here is said to be world class with tranquil waters, wonderful weather and marvelous Fijian hospitality. Indeed, Scuba Diving Magazine, a forerunner in diving experience and know-how, rates this resort not only as one of the best dive centers in Fiji, but one of the most exotic in the world.

Fiji has much information available on Beqa and the best diving places to see. The barrier reef here is one of the biggest in the world and the seas around here are protected. Some divers who experience scuba diving in the Beqa Lagoon say it is a bit like diving in another planet.

Here among the huge barrier reef is around 200 miles of spectacular coral reef and the waters are calm, clear and very warm. In fact visibility here can be as long as 120 feet, which is similar to seeing both ends of a soccer field.
Fiji is known among the scuba diving fraternity as the coral capital of the world. There are gardens and beds of coral that simply stretch for miles on end. If you did manage to stay here for a month, you could visit more than 250 sites and still not have seen it all.
