Scuba Diving in the Bahamas

Posted by: sddiver96

sddiver96

Scuba diving in the Bahamas is one of the world’s most sought after pastimes for thrill seekers fascinated in an underwater world experience that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Here you’ll discover blue holes, caverns, colourful fish and a world of fascinating sights, all experienced within calm, blue tropical seas.

The weather in the Bahamas is simply perfect; warm all year round and average temperatures ranging from lows of 25c (77F) in winter and highs of 32c (90F) in summer. There is a cooling trade wind that you may feel in the evenings, so it’s always best to take a warm cardigan or light jacket, just in case.

If you book into a Bahamas dive center you will be warmly welcomed by staff and shown where all the best attractions are likely to be discovered. Dive resorts in the Bahamas are well known for their warm hospitality and friendly approach. Any Bahamas dive center can point you in the right direction or take you in a boat to the areas where you’ll find the best undersea views and all done with safety in mind.

You will witness a marvelous spectrum of blue and more than just a few shallow reefs, some of which you can actually stand up in. Dive resorts in the Bahamas offer so many small islands and places to witness an undersea adventure, you’ll be left wondering if there is enough Bahamas dive centers to cover the vast area.

There are more than 700 small islands in the Bahamas and some of most fascinating dives can be seen at the eastern side of the Little Bahamas Bank; these major reef structures are no deeper than 45 feet at any point and most of the water is between six to 10 feet deep.

Another fascinating dive resort in the Bahamas is on the Eleuthera coastline, known locally as Current Cut. The small streams that run through these shallow seas bring tons of fish and other colorful marine life pouring in to feed. Other dive resorts in the Bahamas include Cat Island, one of the healthiest shallow reefs on offer in the Bahamas.

As any scuba diver and adventurer will tell you, the dive centers and dive resorts in the Bahamas offer some of the best, clearest and most jaw dropping scenarios available to any amateur or more serious diver.
